About the project

A two-phased project at the famous Aintree Racecourse, Liverpool (home of the Grand National). Construction works were completed in-between Grand National horse racing meetings. The first phase included remodeling of the external works, construction of a parade ring, new stables, new Weighing room and Media Suite along with the groundworks for two new Grandstands. The second phase included the construction of two new steel framed grandstands which were connected by a central structure.

What we did

HUME Commercial & Planning Solutions were employed by the Main Contractor to develop the Baseline Programme and all project controls. Weekly progress updates and progress reviews were carried out including any mitigation measures and critical path analysis.
