About the project
This project was part of the MTR network in Hong Kong. An extension to an existing underground station, the project comprised a new station box, 40m deep using top-down construction techniques. The station box was flanked on each side by existing live railways and buildings. In addition to the station box, a cavern structure and outbound/inbound tunnels were formed to connect to the new MTR extension network.
What we did
HUME Commercial & Planning Solutions were employed by the Main Contractor to re-develop the Baseline Programme for the entire project. This subsequently became the programme to complete and included full resource loading, productivity assessment, sub-contractor engagement and logistics studies to ensure the development of a robust programme. Following this, full project controls were implemented for progress monitoring and tracking.
